Matt Romney specializes in working with emerging growth companies. He has represented companies in a variety of fields, including biotechnology, life sciences, medical device, software and internet technologies. He advises company clients and their management on a broad range of corporate matters, including company formation, equity structures, financing negotiations, corporate governance responsibilities, equity incentive plans and arrangements, employment matters, intellectual property, strategic and commercial transactions and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Romney has practiced at the law firms of Gunderson Dettmer in Boston, Massachusetts and Ballard Spahr in Salt Lake City, Utah. He left large law firm practice to focus on emerging growth companies and structure his practice to better serve their needs.
Education
Mr. Romney holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a Copy Editor of The Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. Matt received a B.A., with honors, from the University of Utah.
